Gender Forte and Empowerment.
This department generally focuses on issues (Abuses, Marginalisation and discriminate) surrounding Gender Equality, Reduced Inequality and Promotion of the Fundamental Human Rights in our Society.
Gender Forte and Empowerment is a department in LIFT4Africa that focus primarily on addressing issues affecting ‘Women, Girls and Other Vulnerable Children/Groups in our societies.
Through Advocacy, Capacity Building and Empowerment. Gender Forte and Empowerment seeks to identify the challenges confronting these groups and proffer measures in addressing these challenges. Some of these challenges include;
- Gender Parity in Political Representation and processes
- Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV)
- Aiding Vulnerable Children/Groups in the Society.
- Domestic/sexual violence and marital rape
- Maternal and infant mortality to mention but a few.
There is no doubt that a greater number of women are excelling and achieving the great feat in different fields and areas of endeavours, but it’s evident that a large percentage of women are still marginalized.
While advocating for greater inclusion of women in the political process and the right of the girl child we also seek to bridge the inequality gap among the vulnerable groups in our society, through social and economic support.
